Longwood Public Library's presentation showcases their LEED Certified building and strong relationship to their their community.

As part of their certification process, the Patchogue-Medford Library adopted a clear and detailed Sustainability Policy, created a staff Sustainability web portal with information and resources for staff and installed energy saving water heaters, light bulbs, and HVAC units. They developed recycling protocols to reduce waste and offered programming to the community that focused on sustainability. 

The Lindenhurst Memorial Library highlights their achievements in obtaining their Green Business Certification, their strong community partnerships and clear policies that focus on social equity and resiliency in this presentation. Highlights of this presentation include a new bike fixing station that has been installed as part of their certification process, a commitment to community driven collection development and an analysis of waste prevention strategies for discarded books.
