We all know this to be the case, but how often do we share the hard numbers on the return on investment of public libraries with our stakeholders? Sharing news stories such as this with your staff, trustees, and local officials is a great way to amplify and articulate the value of libraries to those who are making decisions about resources and funding.

A resolution to pursue a goal of carbon neutrality for all American Library Association (ALA) conferences by 2025 was passed during the 2021 ALA Virtual Annual Conference.

Patchogue-Medford Public Library will be recognized at the 2021 Annual Conference of the New York Library Association held in Syracuse, NY November 3rd- 6th 2021.

First School Librarian, Joanna McCloskey, Certified Sustainable!

Joanna McCloskey, School Librarian at Seaford High School, in Seaford, NY, is the first school librarian to be certified as sustainable through the award-winning Sustainable Library Certification Program, the first of its kind in the world, through the Sustainable Libraries Initiative and New York Library Association. Joanna McCloskey will be recognized at the 2021 Annual Conference of the New York Library Association held in Syracuse, NY November 3rd-6th.
