A resolution to pursue a goal of carbon neutrality for all American Library Association (ALA) conferences by 2025 was passed during the 2021 ALA Virtual Annual Conference. This resolution, moved by Matthew Bollerman, co-Founder of the Sustainable Libraries Initiative and SustainRT Councilor, formalizes the commitment of the ALA to be leaders in environmental responsibility and demonstrates their dedication to sustainable practices.
