Published on June 10, 2021

A resolution to pursue a goal of carbon neutrality for all American Library Association (ALA) conferences by 2025 was passed during the 2021 ALA Virtual Annual Conference. This resolution, moved by Matthew Bollerman, co-Founder of the Sustainable Libraries Initiative and SustainRT Councilor, formalizes the commitment of the ALA to be leaders in environmental responsibility and demonstrates their dedication to sustainable practices. Delegates from the ALA Council Committee on Sustainability will assist and track the progress toward this goal.
