Highland Public Library is certified!
Highland Public Library, located in Highland, New York is the first library from the Mid-Hudson Library System to become certified through the Sustainable Libraries Initiative Certification Program. The process of completing their benchmarks coincided with the construction of a new library building and the drafting of a community driven Plan of Service. Their efforts included energy efficient lighting, a bicycle repair station, water bottle filling stations, and a renewed focus on collaborating with other community organizations.
